Working with kids. From babies to teenagers.
Each age group has their unique attributes that make them fun. Babies are simply cute. Everything they do. Laughing, smiling, figuring small skills out... it's all adorable.
Little kids are just plain entertaining. They always have something to tell you & generally, it's something random and really funny. They also love demonstrating things... dance moves, karate kicks, how it's going to hurt REALLY bad when they give you a shot with their fake, kiddie syringe... always something! (Yes, that last one is a paraphrase of what a child once told me when I was babysitting. Lol)
Teenagers usually get a bad rap for having bad attitudes or being disrespectful, but they really are fun to be around. Typically, they are at the point in life where they like to hear what you have to say, but definitely don't want you to know that's how they feel. However, if you can gain enough of their trust & they open up to you, they can share some great insight. They need us as adults the most. They need strength, encouragement, and positivity that they don't get from the world, especially these days. To know that you have made even a small difference in their world or just in their day... that maybe you have helped improve their self-image just smidge... is awesome.
